For our first big pop-up in the Big Apple — go us! — we introduced our newest venture, Piccola DoubleJ, our first foray into kidswear. We’ve designed a line of molto carina kids dresses in forever-fabulous vintage Mantero prints — launched first at Bergdorf Goodman and now available here at LaDoubleJ.com.
Made for ages 4-8 in 100% cotton, these sweet little numbers are as chic-as-can-be and totally kid approved. If you fancy stepping out in a fully coordinated mother-daughter look, we’ve got you covered in three popping prints that correspond with our best-selling big-girl dresses, shirts, shorts and skirts.
To celebrate the launch — and with Mother’s Day on the horizon — we invited the most dashing mother-daughter duos in Manhattan to Bergdorf Goodman and dressed them up in matching La DoubleJ. Our amazing Piccola DoubleJ team was full to the brim with New York’s most stylish gals: fashion consultant Ana Maria Pimental and her daughter Olivia, age 5; Bastide founder Shirin Von Wulffen and Cecilia, age 8; Michael Kors executive AnaMaria Wilson and Tess, age 5; Editorialist founder Kate Davidson Hudson and Ava, age 5; Maisonette co-founders Jessica Sailer Van Lith with Delphine, age 4, and Vivienne, age 3, Luisana Mendoza and Sienna, age 4, and Sylvana Durett and Gracie, age 3.
We have to give it up for the little ones, they were serious troopers. We trekked those tiny fashion plates and their gorgeous matching moms out onto the streets of New York in blustery mid-April, and, balloons in hand, they vogued for the camera like seasoned pros. We LOVED the twinning takes on classic Mantero prints the girls busted out for the occasion — style, it seems, is hereditary. So, whether your little one prefers toddling around Brooklyn in converse and a baby-bomber jacket, or skipping along the Upper East Side in prim patent leather pumps, Piccola DoubleJ dresses are the spring pick for mini-maximalists of all flavours.
