We love our home down on the Navigli but we’re the first to admit there’s a lot of crappy fake trattoria tourist traps. Thankfully this is not one of them. Named after the statue of the Virgin Mary atop of Milan’s gleaming Duomo, La Madonnina is 100% Milanese. Sit down on red checkered table cloths in this bona fide trattoria with old photographs and theater posters on its walls or try to get a spot in the ivy covered courtyard in summer, it’s always better to eat your traditional risotto and boiled meat al fresco!
