Not too long ago we transformed our creative corner down on the canals into a maximalist, vintage showroom dreamland known as the Wunderwall so it seemed only natural that we’d want to celebrate LaDoubleJ’s new home during Salone with all of our friends and family!

In true LaDoubleJ fashion though, our event was more than an official launch party for our wunder-architect designed, pattern-covered Wunderwall, we had tons more to clink our glasses over! We had chic Chanel pieces from Anna Piaggi’s private collection (on sale for the first time!) alongside our very own LaDoubleJ bijoux and vintage vases from our in-house artist (and GGG!) Liselotte Watkins. And all of this flanked by brand new LaDoubleJ Editions dresses, skirts and shirts!

Partnering with our lively next-door neighbors, studio Atelier Biagetti, we flung open our portone, called the caterers and lassoed all of Milan over for a wisteria-infused springtime bash. Its hard for us to rank our favorite moments from the night but here are a few…

There were sexy nurses and lots of bananas

Atelier Biagetti’s NO SEX show saw 35 models dressed as nurses put on a sleuth of silent performances throughout the evening leaving even the tattoo-clad body guards blushing. Fixated guests reached for pink and gold aluminum covered bananas and exotic fruit kebabs to boot.

We called in an It-Girl DJ

We’re cheerleaders for Milan and all of the GGG and Legendary Ladies in it! Vintage-lover and local party-girl DJ Carlotta Tabaroni kept the dancing queens (and kings) grooving all night long—in LadoubleJ vintage of course!

All of our Friends & Family popped by!

A plethora of LaDoubleJ fans came to say ciao!: Great Gorgeous Girls Carolina Neri and Bérangère Lux of Ca&Lou, stylist Eva Geraldine, tutta-wearing designer Gentucca Bini, Il Crepaccio curator Caroline Corbetta, Marni princess Carolina Castiglioni as well as Legendary Ladies Laura Lusardi and Susanne Thun. Dapper Dudes like Excelsiors’s Dario Spadea Pandolfi, MaxMara’s Giorgio Guidotti, Larusmiani’s Guglielmo Miani (with his leggy stunner-of-a-girlfriend Ludivine Pont) and our host from last year, gallerist Nicolas Bellavance-LeCompte kept the testosterone levels balanced and were just a few to ask “when will you do menswear!?” Our very own Viviana Volpicella twirled her Big Girl skirt with our fabric fairy godmother Lucia Mantero, super-Swede Miki Zanini and talent-scout Alessandro Squarzi, while NO SEX’s curator (and GGG!) Maria Cristina Didero and her art-world husband Flavio del Monte sipped cooley from the sidelines.

We toasted the fun with bubbles!

Once again, Italian Prosecco Powerhouse Berlucchi kept the party going with bottles of perfectly chilled bubbles. Grazie mille!

Our Minimal dream-team was there too!

We took over the cortile with loud patterns, blinging bijoux and crazily-colored vintage vases but there was still an oasis of sleek design calm in the WallpaperSTORE* space that kept our craziness in check! To our black-and-grey clad office-mates, we salute you!

The FUN didn’t stop after the last negroni was drunk:

Good-vibes continued to pulse for the remainder of Salone with DoubleJ fans such as Design Miami’s Rodman Primack, BDDW Tyler Hays and his crew, the discerning Wallpaper* magazine team, our favorite shop-girl Uberta Zambeletti, Missoni Maven Margherita, TV host Filippa Lagerback, cool curator Paola Manfrin and Queen of Cute Candela Novembre all popping round to play dress up and strike a pose for our instagramming pleasure.

We’re tickled pink that our Wunder-filled Wunderwall Wunderspace played host to the devout Salone herd. Watch this space to see what we’ll get up to next!
